Meet the Attorney

Scott L. Basinger's journey is a testament to his continuous professional growth. He graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School in 1988 and the University of Toledo in 1993 (B.B.A). His thirst for knowledge led him to earn his M.B.A. from the University of Findlay in 1995 and his Doctorate from the Ohio Northern University Claude W Pettit College of Law in 2000 (J.D.). After graduation, Scott moved to Florida to practice on Sanibel Island, then moved back to Ohio and resumed working in the Findlay and Lima areas. After some discussions with Kathy, Scott's wife, he took a bold step and opened his firm in Pandora, Ohio. In 2013, he seized an opportunity for further expansion when Samuel W. Diller decided to retire. Scott merged his Pandora firm with Samuel W. Diller Law Office, a move that showcased his strategic thinking and ambition. 

Scott serves as a member of the Ohio State Bar Association Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) Committee, The Ohio State Bar Association Real Property Section, The Adriel Board, The Blanchard Valley Hospital Regional Health Care Foundation Planning Giving Board, First National Bank of Pandora Board, and the Village of Pandora Solicitor. He has also previously served as an adjunct instructor at Ohio Northern University College of Law, the University of Findlay, and Tiffin University. 

Scott is a licensed title agent and owner of Blackhoof Title Agency LLC, which has offices in Bluffton, Lima, and Pandora, Ohio. Additionally, Scott can practice law in Ohio, Florida, Hawaii, and Washington D.C., specializing in probate and estate planning, real estate, business law, agricultural law, and debt collection. 

Scott married his high school sweetheart, Kathy, in 1995 after dating for ten years. Kathy has worked with Scott since he opened his firm in Pandora. In 2002, they welcomed their daughter Laura, who is currently attending Law School at Ohio Northern University. Scott enjoys going to car shows and spending time with his family in his free time.
